    The social network has the number one spot in 127 out of the 136 countries in the list. With over 800 million active users and Europe currently dominates Facebook in number of users at 223M, followed by North America at 219M and Asia at 202M.

    GUARDIAN.CO.UK – Jan 26 – Analysis of 11.5M Tweets from the last three months of 2011 were analyzed by Portland Communications’ Kenya office found that Africa’s biggest economy, South Africa, generated more than 5M of those, compared to Kenya’s 2.48M and Nigeria’s 1.67M.

    This is a map which shows the most dominant social network in each country, and what can be seen is that Facebook covers the largest area of the globe, particularly in more developed areas. This was in a study conducted in December 2011. The other social networks which are seen as dominant in places like Russia, are fairly unknown to those outside of that region.

    i have found that facebook is the forth most popular website that people visit on a regular basis with 35 million unique visitors. it is suggested that women spend more time on social networks than men.
